American Red Cross

The Friese Foundation is proud to support The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization that responds to insurmountable disasters with emergency assistance, disaster relief, and disaster preparedness education in the United States. Their aim it is to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing its strong network of volunteers, donors, and partners.

The American Red Cross aspires to turn compassion into action so that all people affected by disaster across the country and around the world receive care, shelter and hope; our communities are ready and prepared for disasters; everyone in our country has access to safe, lifesaving blood and blood products; all members of our armed services and their families find support and comfort whenever needed; and in an emergency, there are always trained individuals nearby, ready to use their Red Cross skills to save lives.

During the unprecedented global pandemic of 2020, the Red Cross was able to pivot how they delivered their services to remain efficient and effective. This included equipping and training volunteers and staff during this outbreak to safely provide food, shelter, comfort, and relief supplies to people affected by disasters of all types. The Red Cross continues to be able to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic in truly impactful ways – from collecting and distributing convalescent plasma to alleviate the suffering of COVID-19 patients and helping to vaccinate the American public, to standing up feeding operations and ensuring that the most vulnerable among us have access to the help and resources they need to survive this disastrous virus.

The Friese family is honored to support this work on behalf of all of those who suffer unexpected and unsurmountable tragedies in this country. We invite you to join us in advancing their work.
